European Championship 2006 in Estonia:

Pirita Olympic Harbour hosting the next European Championship 2006. The most famous Sailing Centre in East Europe, Pirita Olympic Harbour, will form the surrounding for the next EC. Over the Years the Sailing Centre has been hosting a multitude of grade 1 events and International competitions.

Its location, only a few miles from the Estonian Capital Tallinn, offers a multitude of possibilities for any sort of activity for both sailors and their families, thus making the trip an unforgettable Event.

Kalev Yacht Club, the oldest Sailing Club in Estonia with its skilful personnel and highly reputable International Race Officers, are looking forward to grant sailors from all over Europe a challenging and fun week both at the tricky waters on the Bay of Tallinn as on land among the warm and friendly people.

Mr Rein Ottoson, Chef Trainer of the Estonian Olympic Team, is a worldwide known character and a skilful organizer. The basic planning and running of the coming Event lays in his steady hands and his Eagle sharp eyes.

Margus Bachmann, a professional Event Organizer, has taken up the challenge to make this Event a heaven for both Sailors and their companions. As the Event co-operator he will see to that each and everyone can enjoy the happenings, whether on waters or on land.

An own site for the Event will open at first possible date and entries, booking and reservations may all be done electronically at the latest by the turn of the Year.

As the new President of our Association, Mr Vaiko Vooremaa, is proud of the trust in the Estonians ability to carry on the exemplary work done by the Swedes in Marstrand this Year.
